I arrived at Kogarah Jubilee Oval, strolled down Legends walk reliving some fantastic memories, joined the queue of about 20 people already there, thought to myself this is going sweet today.

Then we where allowed in to watch the last of the captains run, I turn around and notice most people have already got up and left, unbeknown to me the signings weren't on the field like all the other years but up in the stand in the Platinum Club, so I stroll up and join the back of a queue of 1000+ people. DOH!!!!

The line up takes an hour or more in the freezing cold of the cement stand, we get to the room and we are told sorry you cant see all the players today pick which line to join and you will see less than half. This was very disappointing to a lot of members; 15-20+ years / Patinum / Gold / Match Day sponsors....... Great I can have half a signed jersey and half a signed team poster.

Firstly they postponed the original event telling us the reason was because the State of Origin players couldn't attend and it wouldn't be fair for us not to see all the players, then as it turns out on the day we could only see half the team, let alone the extended squad like normal.

Anyway I did mange to score some missing cards for my STG IP PC, enjoy.

Those fan days when our clubs run are always fun! Nice signed cards, even though they are drag queens one 😂

awesome card signings Ross, wish I were there, very envious.
It is always a turn off when you are told 1 thing then another, another.

Ross I can't believe how many cards you got done! I was there too and yes the whole thing was a shambles. Absolutely no directions as to what was happening and like you I joined the massive line after sitting watching the lawn being mowed - no captains run...

I did get to see the whole squad, however again it was conflicting information as I was originally told a poster and one item would be signed. I had my kids with me they had a poster each as did I I then handed one card to the first player only for the staff to say no you have already had your one item and would not let me have any cards done. I then got rid of the poster and gave cards but again I was told one only. I only managed to get about 7 or 8 cards done even though there were three of us there.

Complete waste of time and I certainly will not be going back next year.

Unfortunately for me this is really the one day where I can get them done. In the past they have been terrific events, a single logical queue as you arrive and then you proceed down a long single table of 25 players until you get to the end....simple really.

I hope that if enough of us write a considered complaint then they may run another event. I know that many of those around me said they would be requesting that.

Cheers
