Collecting cards was a popular pursuit for me in primary school but after a long break (I was collecting BRL, Cricket and Empire Strikes Back cards back then - it was a very long break) I'm back in. I started collecting a couple of packs of NRL Traders a week back in May and have 4 1/2 thousand cards already (mainly courtesy of a kind man selling a bulk lot on gumtree - packed full of mid-1990s superheroes including Marvel Masterpieces if you're interested). I'm focussing on NRL initially but unfortunately for my wallet I really like NBA, NFL, MLB, Cricket and EPL (go the Geordies). Thankfully I've got an understanding wife. I guess there are much worse ways to have a mid-life crisis! Am finding the site a great source of information but still getting my head around the slang. See you around.
