Two very well written perspectives @The Mad Hatter & @nznrl

Your points resonate with most collectors. ESP / TLA are producing beautifully designed cards, great variety and nice low numbered sets but I feel they are trying to cater more toward an American sports market rather than the niche NRL market we have here.

Each year I complete a review and there are some excellent comments / points raised by other collectors. I feel these are strongly looked at by ESP as several of the ideas have been taken on over the years.

I still enjoy the collecting and the hobby, this year I feel the mojo's are out of reach unless I jag one from a box. This is disappointing but to me that is the beauty and nature of collecting. You might wait ten years but you get the one you want.

I see so many collectors now and all they care about is filling their want list ASAP and then dumping the rest onto an already overburdened secondary market. How in the hell can someone justify selling a League Sensation for $70 just to make a quick buck? I love the trading aspect of the hobby, helping another collector out while getting what you want. I feel that many of the 'new brigade'to the hobby aren't like this, will trade or sell to their own benefit only, not to help another collector out.
