Went into the PO yesterday and asked the price to ship a small padded envelope to the Us with a single memorabilia card in a top loader would be and was quoted $21 as a small letter and if it was a comercial item should go as a parcel at over $40. Thats rideculos. has to be cheaper than that.
How does everyone post their padded envelopes to the US.

I post all the time. Post it as a letter - costs about $3.30, untracked. Make sure you fill out the green customs slip and stick it on the back. If you use the offical Auspost PM0 padded mailer, think that costs about $1.30 or so.
Note that this way it doesn't always track.

I'm selling cards on COMC & wanted to sell some on Ebay US & wanted to see what the shipping would be and was surprised at the price I was quoted as my wife posts letters over there all the time for around $3.

letter makes sense but as soon as you go past a certain thickness it’s a big jump in price.

I don't send anything untracked these days - too many scumbags and Ebay is totally ruthless if you don't have tracking and/or delivery confirmation.

The cheapest is International Registered, but it doesn't track all the way - just intermittently.

I just send as small parcel, standard service, and add extra cover if I need to.

Like others have said - $21 is ridiculous, but there's not much other choice unfortunately.

You pay the same to get stuff sent from USA, so why wouldn't it be the same the other way?
I agree its not ideal when selling on Ebay for international listings, usually ppl will balk at $25 dollars for a $3 dollar card.
But you could send a bulk lot of cards you plan on listing to Ship My Cards, who are based in Arizona.
They will store them in your account and will take pictures of all the cards you plan to list for a fee.
You can list cards on Ebay US and pay smc a fee , but they will happily send out cards for you with whatever shipping requirements you desire.
Easier moving cheaper cards then the other options which are to send in an envelope and have zero tracking, or charge $25 dollars shipping which 90% of ppl will ignore your listing.

I can understand $21 for graded cards but when you can post a plain white envelope to the US as a small letter for $3.30 but when you put a raw card in a top loader in a small bubble mailer they Want $21. The bubble mailer will fit through the slot they use for letters.
