escape from absolom is definitely worth watching. always surprised me it wasnt way more popular. dont think id consider it cheesy as such. more of a movie with action opposed to an action movie...if that maeks any sense? best of the best II is more of the cheesy action/fighting type flick. along the lines of kickboxer etc. i guess best of the best I is alright aswell...

Cannon films..#9 - DEATH WISH 4 (the crack down) the series had been turned from the gritty vigilante stance to more straight forward film by now. This one had more of a anti-drug/drugs are killing the community feel to it. Bronson has a "I don't want to be here" feel to his performance. bad script, still some good violence scenes (even got a young DANNY TREJO).. wine bottle bombs, and more 80's themes...a finale at a rolla-skating ring. what hurts is the amount of colour which is in stark contrast to the previous dark/gritty and dirty feel of the early series.. good/not great 3***

Cannon films..#10 - DEATH WISH 5 This was the sad ending to a great series, sad in the sense of disappointment...Bronson takes on the organised mafia, and it is as predictable as can be. The characters are lame (one named flakes for he has dandruff) which fits right along with the story/script and feel of the film. Bronson looks bored and over it... sad and boring final film 2**

Cannon films...#11 - AMERICAN SAMURAI yet another martial arts offering that was a real let down, basically same script and story of american ninja, just with a samurai. A real low budget offering 1*

Cannon films...#12 - growing up there was a video (at the good old vhs video store) that i hired out far to many times a year...this film is just a special late nite b-grade cult classic... chuck Norris stars in INVASION USA from start to finish, this is a wild ride through a low budget script, that turned into gold. From the terrorists who invade the u.s on boats and then board trucks to spread across the u.s, they cause havoc across neighborhood / shopping malls / clubs and once again its big Chuck who has to save the country. Great violence mixed with typical Norris one-liners.. all these years later it still rules.. LOVE IT 5****

WOW, one I did not see. I must find and watch :D

2018's Bruce Willis staring DEATH WISH rewatched this again, for another viewing... A re-working as opposed to a remake, It follows the original (1975) path but not totally. A enjoyable film with some great actors that leads down the path of what would you do to protect your family..
Willis is good as paul kersey (but hes no charles bronson) done well and enjoyable film 3***

IT- CHAPTER 2 ... didnt mind the first movie, but the follow up was of the mark. Felt to long winded and played out to the point of being boring. The actor that plays pennywise does a good job with a dull script.. Happy i didn't spend the $ going to the cinema for this..forgettable 2**

Knew I held off on watching this for a reason :D

you should have left - 6/10. pretty standard mystery/horror. alright ending, but nothing too surprising once you get on board with the metaphor.
the turning - 5/10. modern telling of 'the turn of the screw'. tries to be original in its finale, but comes across as more of a cop out.
2 minutes of fame - 7/10. didnt think i would really like this, but it has some very funny moments.
mr. 3000 - 7/10. bernie mac retires from baseball after his 3000th hit, hated by all. 10 years later he loses his guarantee of getting into the HoF when his base hits are reviewed and they realises he's 3 hits short. time for a comeback...
capone - 3/10. i doubt they couldve made a more boring movie about the man.

and a couple of re-watches:

deep rising - 8/10. great action/horror/comedy.
retroactive - 7/10. jim belushi plays a criminal who chases a police psychologist into a secret bunker where she discovers a time machine that can take her 10minutes into the past.
necessary roughness - 6/10. the collegiate football equivalent of 'major league'. starring quantum leap, sinbad and jason bateman. plus a bunch of retired NFL players make a cameo as a prison team (dick butkis, jerry rice, jim kelly). not as good as ML, but has its moments.

im a fan off MR 3000 bernie mac had great stage presence..and a very funny man
CAPONE i agree, pathetic attempt on a film that should have been given better treatment, so slow and mind numbing boring

watched Gladiator the other weekend with my oldies for the first time in a LONG time. Amazing movie.

A guy named Russell was the biggest movie star in the world for a few years there huh, freaking amazing, so good. 9/10
it still holds up as a powerful film all these years later.. as for old russ, he's still a great actor, defantly a little quite as of late.

GAME CHANGER - the story of Sarah Palin running for the vice president in the 2008 u.s election, not exactly a film i would watch but was recommended and thank full i did. Had Julianne Moore and Woody Harrelson, goes through why Palin was added to the team and how she was so out of her depth. Great film and totally enjoyed it 4****/5

eurovision song contest: fire saga - 6/10. will ferrel is his typical self. has some laughs, but its pretty stoopid...
radioactive - 6/10. story of marie curie and her discovery of radium. hits all the famous parts, but has a real strange feel to it.
the case for christ - 2/10. lee strobel's pet project. if you want to see the 'best' christian apologetics has to offer, have a good laugh and get annoyed by illogical/straw-man reasoning, all at the same time, then this might be worth the torture of actually watching it.
black dog - 7/10. was looking for 90s action films i hadnt seen and came across this patrick swayze film. hes a recently paroled truck driver coerced into running guns for his new job. really dodgy with plot holes and over the top explosions.
