UFC MMA Discussion (spoilers)

How does he not seem to learn? Without knowing the facts - he very well may have been telling the truth. Not hard to run a licence plate check and find out who owns the car and then harass someone famous.

nah he definitely doesnt seem to learn.

if you are on probation, the very last thing that should cross your mind is revving your car at a red light and taking off as it goes green, regardless of whether or not he slowed down before reaching the speed limit. You see idiots all the time that dont reach the speed limit, but take off at a ridiculous speed and lose control ending up in the medium strip or the side of the road.

so for someone on probation to even try that, its just plain stupid.

Diaz v McGregor booked for UFC 200

Also booked is Aldo v Edgar for an Interim Featherweight title.

If Connor is fit to fight it should be against one of those two. There's no clear sporting case for a bulls**t interim title.

If it makes dollars, it makes sense. And everyone will tune in to a rematch.

And the UFC are setting themselves up for a mega card in New York in November where Conor will fight the winner of Aldo/Edgar, along with Weidman and Jon Jones requesting to be on the card, and Ronda Rousey scheduled to return around Nov also - they're preparing a massive card for November. UFC 200 is just a pre-curser.

Alleged* to have done that...

Hence "sporting case".

You wouldn't see the NFL overlook the AFC champion, to have two NFC teams play the Superbowl, but idiots continue to buy into the UFC's illegitimate match making.

We're getting a rematch for the fight that had a definitive conclusion. Just as White wanted an immediate rematch for Rousey/Holm despite that too having a definitive finish.

Yet when Holm gets pipped in the 5th in a fight many had her winning, you don't hear a peep of a rematch being booked.

UFC is a basket case. Rousey lost and has gone AWOL. Northcutt and Van Zant got cut down mid company endorsed push. All that's left is Mystic Mac avoiding 145 and takings fights with the fallback that he's fighting "two" weight classes up. They fail to provide the same promotional momentum for the vast majority of their roster, and now they are reaping what they sow.

This the same company that cancelled UFC 176 because they thought Jacare/Mousasi wasn't good enough for a main event - a fight that was later moved to a Fight Night card.

The UFC has never been run like the NFL, so it's a pointless comparison (with all respect intended).

It's run as a sporting entertainment business. Not dissimilar to the WWE, except with real fights.

Can see your point except i think you are wrong about holly vs tate 2. pretty sure it will be added to UFC200 this week.

i can see zingano returning on that card as well probably against someone like juliana pena.

The co Main hasnt been announced either yet. Tipped to be GSP vs Lawler initially, but GSP doesnt want the belt because he doesnt want to stand in Rory's way of getting it. So if GSP is set for this return, possibly GSP vs Nick Diaz. Can't see it being anyone else if he is only here for the big fights.

Frank Mir has pissed hot

and has since tried to blame it on the food he had eaten in Australia

I couldn't tell you a single restaurant I remember eating at. I even remember calling James and saying 'do you remember where we ate?' I had to write down all of the places we went. And even if I could figure it out; let's say someone could document where I went. You're telling me USADA are gonna go down, and, on my behalf, try to test all the different meats...

Then came the kicker

to see if, well, you know, kanagaroos are wild and this guy wanted to beef em' up so he bought something that was very abudnant - in the study that I did - oral turinabol could be bought in powdered form. You put it on the food and you bulk up your livestock, and you could sell it into the stores because now you get more bang for your buck. An animal that takes two years to reach maturity, you know, muscle weight, now in four months he's bigger than he's ever gonna be and you slaughter him.

Best excuse since boner pills.

Frankie needs to hang them up and save face.

I like the Chael Sonnen approach - admit full guilt, or blame the commission.

But leave Skippy alone...

Turns out the Police offer who stopped Jones is facing a lawsuit for multiple racial profiling complaints...

Doesn't always pay to jump the gun and assume the worst.

"Officer Brown all over the news in Albuquerque after reporters dig up how many times he has been in trouble for racial profiling in the past. Being a father of biracial children, I'm definitely not one to pull the race card. At the same time, I'm not necessarily surprised about this discovery after the run in I had with him. Having him stand there, look me in the eyes and start accusing me of several things him and I both know I didn't do made me feel let down by the community, made me feel powerless, he made me feel like what was actually true had no power over him. Now it's easier for me to understand why so many people hold resentment towards law enforcement. Officer brown almost single-handedly ruined my trust in law-enforcement. The sad thing about it is, I actually went to school for criminal justice, I wanted to be an officer myself. Fortunately I know better than to let one person ruin my views of a whole group. Just glad people are finally bringing light to who I was dealing with that night." - JBJ

Really not going to shed a tear for Jon Jones, incredibly rich of him to call Cormier a coward given what he did.

In other news, BJ Penn is set to fight Denis Siver at UFC 199.

what are your thoughts on Tate vs Nunes? she should wipe the floor with her.

Nunes got pumped in the last round vs valentina shevchencko. that valentina chick will be an absolute weapon shortly.
