Also looking for the COPPER KETTLE album for cards 1-96

Bumpies...

Got plenty of swaps too; all the cards from 1-384, and quite a few of the Volume 5's as well.

Hi there, just came across my cards and googled Tuckfields to see if the cards were still around. I have quite a few gaps in my collection and lots of cards which aren't in order but did manage to come across a pristine 167 card. I also have lots of exchange tokens but I am guessing these aren't of much use. I will sort out my cards and make a list of ones that I need if you are still interested.
Regards Sue

Well I do have some of your missing cards, however mine are all Tuckfields so you probably have those for 1 and 211. I have the second 3 in the first row. However mine has the no. 3 of a series at the top and not at the bottom. I also have the first 167 in the second row i.e. it is light blacky colour and not the blue. Also have some animal Tuckfields which must have come out about the same time. My cards are all 21+ years old.
Regards

Hi Sue
Card backs have to be exactly in the print types as shown above; any other styles are much more common and I have all of commons as sets now.
Animals were in a set of 32 - though there a 2 different printings: check the bottom writing to see the differences, either Always Please or 12 Yarra St. Not that hard to find. Tuckfields no longer put cards in their tea, and don't redeem token cards anymore.....

thank you for the info. All my cards are Tuckfields and I have many duplicates with different writing at the bottom. Some start with Albums.. and some special books etc. My two 167's are different - one is identical to the second 167 of yours but unfortunately it is in black and not blue and the other has special books etc at the bottom. Anyway thanks again for your reply regards Sue

Hi Roy
I'm only after cards with back designs as per the scans. If they are Tuckfields 12 Yarra cards I've already got zillions of them.....

Hi. I just found a card in an old letter holder from previous owner of my unit. Are you still interested in cards with the backs that you pictured? The card I found is a Kinkara Tea Australiana bird studies card. It's number 201 of a series, Hooded Robin. It has a 12 Yarra St address. Let me know if you are interested.

Hi
Must be a Kinkara Tea one, exactly like that on the top right pic of scan 1, and be in Excellent condition. No creases, stains or writing on, or damage on back from having been in an album. Do need a 201 if nice, but you have only the one card from the set? Any other ones as well?
cheers
John

Hi John

Im not a collector so not sure what good condition is. There is no damage but maybe
some discolouration of fading. There's a couple of small spots on the very edge of the
front of the card. You will see in the photos attached. I couldn't get photos without
the shadow of the camera but I think you'll see that these are just shadows.

I haven't found any other cards. An elderly woman lived in my unit till 12 years ago
when I bought it. She had one of those tin letter holders on the wall in a back room.
It was removed recently when I had my unit painted. I was deciding whether I should put
it back up when I noticed a card inside the letter holder. I googled it to find out
more info and found the collector sites. Let me know if you would like it.

John

Hi Jo

Scans are nice and clear. I need 7 of the 10 Kinkaras, and a couple of the No Protects. I'd pay $35 for the lot of cards you have shown here, plus postage cost.

cheers
John

Hi John...just home from work. Yep that's fine. I am a newbie on this site so is it usual to email me for further details for payment and posting ? ..
Glad I could help you.

Hi again Jo
Am happy to go through with a deal then. I'd change your post if I were you to remove the email address....(I have noted it)
I think it is best to set up a deal thread: you to put in the items and price, and me to agree to it.
Usually I've been the buyer, so haven't needed to set up a deal thread. Let me know how you go if doing one.

thanks
John

G'day John,
I have come across 120 Kinkara Tea Cards Bird Studies and an unused album for 1 to 96. They are all in good condition with no creases. Folds or writing on them.
There are 46 of the Kinkara Tea Special books No's 3 to 281 (some duplicates), The other 74 are Australiana Bird Studies South Yarra, 49 have This card has a protective coating and 25 do not have mention of the protective coating. They consist of Various No's 1 to 476 some by Deidre Hunt some by Sue McInnes and some with no name of illustrator at all.
Just wondering what you might pay before I decide to sell, if you are interested I will download some images but with 120 to do I first wanted to see what you thought.
Regards Gordon Rodgers

Hi Gordon
Thanks for the info. I've just bought a lot of Kinkaras off ebay a week or so ago, and paid $25 from memory and they were all kinkara backs, 113 in all. Basically I've got all the kinkara South Yarra address cards, save some of the volume 3 (193-288), and a few from volume 1 (1-96) with a Liverpool NSW address. The 12 yarra Australianas are quite common.
What album is it? Color? I have the Kinkara red color album already. Is it totally unused ?- not had photo corners added or glued cards removed?
On page 56 at the bottom it should have the words 'Gunn and Taylor pty ltd' I need the edition where this is 68mm long; I already have the 50mm version.
I'd pay $10 for an unused album - if it is the one I need, and $15 for the cards.
cheers
John
