elect Australia will no longer be producing NRL collector cards with the 2012 season being our last series of cards.

We chose to relinquish the licence and will cease selling NRL products as of the 31st January, 2013. So if you wish to pu

rchase any NRL related product from us please do so by this date.

We sincerely thank you for your loyalty and wish to inform you that even though we are not producing any further series of NRL cards, we will still be honouring redemptions relating to our NRL signatures until further notice. Please follow the instructions on the reverse of the card to redeem.

So what happens to anything unsold???

Goes to Wang??? Would not think they destroy it. They are still sitting on some of those 2003 Scanlens sets.

This select email i received has me a little worried.

(we will still be honouring redemptions relating to our NRL signatures until further notice. Please follow the instructions on the reverse of the card to redeem).

2nd things i,m concerned about (until further notice) and No mention about predictors.

Thought the older redemptions had expiry dates anyway, so if they do (and I will check), Select aren't even obligated to redeem them at all, I would have thought.

What do we think will happen when Select make the announcement "As of XXXX date, we will no longer be honouring any NRL redemptions." ????

Predictors do. Sig redemptions don't.

I dont think there is much to worry about - just think who would be effected the most by them not honouring. Their exclusive wholesaler.

People will have to build a bridge and get over it, I guess.

Not much anyone can do...maybe class action against Select? LOL

Do you think it would cause a mass panic to purchase all remaining stock and get the redemptions sent out as fast as possible?

Spot on! I don't think Wang would allow himself to get stuck with the remaining stock with redemptions being worthless?

You've got 'til 21st December 2012.

In the mean time, I'll be panic buying water, baked beans and matches. :)

Youve already answered your own question Owen! No doubt at mates rates too....

And I bet Steve will be only too happy to pass those savings onto us, the consumer.

I don't think so I've heard Wang still owes Select a lot of money & is very slow in catching up his repayments. I think select will sit on the stock they have& wait till they can sell again.I don't think they have a lot of stock most of their NRL sells out except for TAGS & 2009 Scanlens.
