If you’re looking for the most apropos term to describe collecting’s collective appetite for Panini America’s Optic franchise, we have a suggestion: Insatiable. Indeed, it seems like every new iteration of the Optic brand — regardless of sport — just becomes more in demand. On Wednesday, when 2018 Donruss Optic Baseball arrives in hobby shops across North America, the Optichrome revolution that’s helped breathe new life into one the hobby’s longest-running flagship brands looks to continue unabated.
On average, each hobby box of 2018 Donruss Optic Baseball will deliver two autographs. Random Hot Boxes will deliver up to five autographs or 20 numbered parallels. In the revealing Quality Control Gallery that follows, we offer a visual showcase of many of the gems that surfaced during the recent packout process.
