Hi everyone,

I'm fairly new to all this so forgive me if this is in the wrong section. I'm hoping someone can help me. I'm in the middle of doing a mad cleaning spree and came across a stack of tazo, pokemon cards, etc.. loads of various albums some complete, some not etc. and was hoping to sell some of them. (Ill get to that later)

My first question and i guess what i'm most curious about. I was doing some reseach and found my way to a lady selling on ebay a simpsons tazo. She wanted around $43,000 dollars for simpsons magic motion no: 149. Apparently it was banned shortly after distribution. Now i thought this was a bit extreme, but she states that one sold on auction for $45,000 so this was her price. After realising i have two of these tazos and spending the money in my head for a good half hour, I noticed right above this listing is the same item for i think around $9.99.

Now after an hour or so spent at the computer i am still none the wiser. Whilst i now know this WAS banned shortly after distribution, i have no idea of its value. I'm hoping im at the right place to work it out. Thanks in advance, i know its a little lengthy.

Shane, the value of the tazo you mentioned is subjective, by that I mean you will only get for it what someone is willing to pay for it. I think 43K is a tad extreme but in the right market it might sell for a good price, it all depends on who needs that particular tazo at the time. I don't think they were as rare of some dealers made them out to be, as plenty of them made it into collections.

I had a few of that particular tazo when the craze was all the go, I remember I sold it to a dealer in Newcastle at a new under cover market type thing for 20 dollars way back when, I doubt I will get that for another one now.

tazos are still pretty sought after. about a year ago i sold 3 folders which included the simpsons, space jam, dragonball z and a few others from other sets for around $100 on ebay to some guy in holland. its all about luck. if your auction gets noticed by a few people who are realy interested you can make decent money.

someone offered me $400 once for one of the star wars hologram ones (when I was a kid so like 10 years ago or so lol).

I should have taken it DAMMIT!!!

on the plus side I have all the sets of Tazos so..
I am after some of those star wars ones have plenty of swaps if needed.
Dave.
