Amid considerable pomp and circumstance, Panini America returned the fabled Contenders Basketball brand to the market last season for the first time since 2012-13. And based on overwhelming collector acceptance, it became abundantly clear that it would be more than just a one-year return. And so bolstered by another stacked rookie class, Contenders Basketball will be back in full force when the 2018-19 edition arrives in late December.
2018-19 Contenders Basketball will feature the brand’s calling-card Rookie Ticket Autographs signed on-card as well as the complete array of Contenders components such as Cracked Ice, Optichrome and Championship Ticket parallels. On average, each hobby box (10 cards per pack, 12 packs per box, 12 boxes per case) will deliver two autographs.

- Historic Rookie Tickets featuring current NBA stars with their rookie teams and on-card autographs.
- For the first time, Contenders Optic Preview SSPs.
- Chase multiple versions of Rookie Ticket Autographs showcasing the top picks from the 2018 NBA Draft Class.

- A wide array of eye-catching inserts featuring legends, veterans and rookies.
- Cracked Ice parallels are numbered to 25, Optichrome Premium Edition Gold parallels are numbered to 10 and Championship Ticket parallels remain 1/1s. Find additional Rookie Ticket parallels throughout the product.
