Ok, can someone tell me the reason why people invest in something like this? I just dont see the deal with it however i see people selling this stuff all the time.

Thanks for letting me know and maybe some others.

Ok here's my view:

1. It's just another way of collecting. Just like physical cards you chase the stuff you like and trade the stuff you don't need to get more of what you like. I personally don't collect stamps, but because I collect cards I get why people do it. It's just collecting stuff.

2. It doesn't take up any physical space. This is the biggest limitation of collecting physical cards. At some point, you just struggle to have enough room for them all. I personally have cards I forget I have because I don't see them for years.

3. The digital versions of cards are the same as physical cards. So those exact cards you have in your collection (i.e. Zion 2019 Prizm base) you can get an identical digital version of them. So you can have your entire collection in HD right on your phone and the cards on your phone don't degrade over time or when you handle them.

4. You can get a decent look at cards up close in HD before you decide to buy the physical ones. For something like a Kobe or Zion auto, you can get a real feel for the card before you drop $4,000.

In my opinion it will never replace physical cards, it just complements them.

Thank you for that... I would guess in the digital age for some this makes sense. For me, I want to hold a card, feel it and be able to look at the signature. If i can going to spend 20 bucks on a card, i want it in my hand, go to a trading session or show to friends in person.

Im not saying there is not a place in this world for this type of system, I just feel that because of my age, I would rather have the cards themselves.

Cheers
