and now for a pretty rare card..... yes i know all 1/1's are rare, but even though 1/1's are technically all created equally (by number at least) the common place for 1/1's was preeeeeeeeeeeety scarce back in the day..

so

here ya go

1999-2000 UD Damon Stoudamire SPX #68 Spectrum 1/1 :) :) GEM 10 via SGC @ 98/100

it cost me an arm an a leg, but no regrets at all.

its just so awesome.

Ok, think I cracked a woody when I saw that SPX, that is an amazing card mate.

cheers bud - funny story about how i ended up getting it

usually on the 'bay i look for auto's almost exclusively these days (search terms) as there is so much crap that turns up under serial number searches that i'd basically ditched it due to trash results

but

on the day in question, i searched bulk damon generic styles and this was on page 1 with 8hrs to go.

at 7am in the morning, it made for a pretty badshit nervous day.

it was at around 60usd for the majority of the auction, then jumped to around 150usd with 6-7 minutes left.

i went full sniper status.

i plugged in 297.49 and was waiting for around 7 seconds to go before hitting the submit, then around a minute left i thought, someone, if they want it like i do, might just put 300 on it, so i change the bid to like 317.49 usd and put it in at 7 seconds and ended up getting it for 303 usd. if i had left it at the original i dunno wtf i would have done, i would have been soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo flat. luckily something made me change up in the last minute and then she was mine!

delivered via mymallbox :) also picked up a ton of extra stuff!

sabonis 1/10 in the bg

thanks for the comment, the card is a total killer!

That is the grand-daddy of all 1/1s right there! O.G. was a great call! Glad to see something as rare as that end up in your Mighty Mouse PC!

thanks fellas :) yeah, it feels very good to have it my PC!

appreciate all the comments from everyone! Might be time soon to do an photo update re the top 20% of the collection i think :)

Those TC Autographs are superb, that's one of Panini's winning products in terms of design and execution. Looks like those sigs are ON card as well, that's a winner in any scenario.

SPx 1/1 is ridiculously nice, I wish they weren't 1/1s because the pattern is so nice. Great addition.

cheers mate, the pattern on the SPX with the red grid reflection highlights looks really awesome in person, they really outdid themselves considering its now approaching being a 20yr old card

Being near 20 years old, it's amazing how well these designs, the tech, the patterns that they used, etc., all hold up and in an overwhelming number of cases are superior to what is out there today. It's great to look at the pictures you posted, but I'm sure seeing one in hand is totally mind blowing.

Wow! As a fellow owner of that card for my pc player, I bid you a huge congratulations! That is my absolute favorite 90s 1/1 of all-time. The card is just gorgeous. What a great feeling when a card like that finds it's home in a player collection.

aint that the truth - makes such a difference getting something like that from that era. the card is standout in both rarity and design/impact - congrats on being a member of the SPx Spectrum 1/1 Family :)
