2016/17 TnP A-league Trading Cards

Are the albums out in newsagents yet ?

Sorry, I posted the message below in the TnP cricket release thread late last week. Same applies to the a-league folders.

Recieved an email from Cards r Us yesterday advising of the delay in both TnP cricket & a-league folders, stating "we should have stock in on the 12th December to ship 13th."

Assuming dealers in Sydney/NSW will get their folder stock first, then stocks may not hit newsagents until just before Xmas (if we are very lucky) or early New Year.

The newsagent distributors' eg Gordon & Gotch, are likely to have revised delivery patterns over the Xmas/NY period so that will also impact on deliveries
.

At the group break @Diggaz TC held on Sunday Michael said he was expecting them this week & would be driving to the warehouse to get them as soon as they arrive.

Hopefully they have arrived by now, if not don't expect them in newsagents until the new year.

I heard next week

Great...I'm not sure which is going to happen faster....the TnP folders arriving, OR my Windows 10 upgrade finishing :)

TnP received the albums yesterday and some were despatched, the rest are being despatched today (Friday).
Guess it now depends on how quickly Gordon and Gotch can despatch them out to the news agencies, but you'd expect them to start receiving them next week.

This was posted on TnP Facebook page yesterday:

"Tap'N'Play are finalising our Hyundai A-League signings and are pleased to announce the recent Adelaide United signing by their attacking midfielder (No 10) Marcelo "Chelo" Carrusca."

Hopefully the remaining signing from David Carney (Syd FC) and Brendan Santalab (WSW) are not too far away.

What's the story with Carney not signing ?

Do the players get paid for signing the cards ? If so, anybody have any idea on how much they get paid ?

I was told January as well. David Carney has always been a prickly character throughout his career so I'm not too surprised he's causing headaches for Tapnplay.

I had heard that the delay with Carney was due to a serious illness of a person associated with him, and that resulted in the discussions stalling during the medical treatment program.

But understand that things are now back on track & just a matter of fitting the signing into Carney's schedule - but sounds like all is now progressing (as per @Matt26 post above)

Personally have never had a problem with Carney signing cards when he has been in Perth. Maybe not as enthusiastic as other players to do it, but always obliged. But maybe others have had different experiences.

Heard the same story, had a bit to do with it.
