NSW 2014/15 cards

Hi all,

Some really disappointing news.

I emailed Cricket NSW to ask again if the 2014/15 NSW cards were available yet.i have previously been informed they "would be released next week" four or five times.

The response I received today was this;

"unfortunatelly the player cards have been discontinued. There simply was not the supply and demand anymore. I hope you understand"

To put it into context, they have done a set every year since 1993. I am bitterly dissapointed right now. The continuous chain has now been broken.

Surely it can't be that hard? And good promos for the kids - although, they missed the boat not having them for the Mercantile Mutual Cup.

These clowns right across CA have to start to realise you have to give a little to get a little.

And it's not like we didn't have to buy the sets anyway!!! Well…I did.

I would encourage anyone not happy about this to email NSW cricket via the web site to express your disappointment.

I don't know if we can change their minds on this, however we can certainly try!

Any news if there will be a set this year?

They said last year they were not doing anymore.

Feel free to email them and ask them. They do not think anyone wants them and with only me badgering them it gets no where

Response I received yesterday:
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately Cricket NSW will not be producing player cards this season.
The demand to purchase these cards of the years has declined and as a result we have discontinued the product.

If they actually sold them at games, they'd sell.

Australian sports seriously need sports card merchandising marketing people and they could make a packet.

They use to give some to kids at school in showbags. It is a big shame. I think the NRL clubs shoulsd include exclusive members cards as well it would attract more members I think. It looks like NSW CRICKET CARDS will be limited to 1993-2014.

They would easily sell a lot at the Ryobi games and kids and collectors could get them signed at the games.

Anyone know if they have brought these back?

They do team sheets now to get signed at games. I will post a picture when I get a chance
