Well, after collecting the 2020/21 and 2021/22 sets of TLA Traders cricket cards, I'm done.
The main thing I'm completed %$^&ed off about is the lack of true randomisation in the boxes.
I bought four boxes in total to be the starting point for 2021/22, but in the third and fourth box I didn't...
I cracked open a couple of boxes today. Noticed a number of packs had 9 regular cards and a parallel foil, only. Maybe 2 or 3 packs in each box?
Is this something to do with how the cards are distributed this year, versus last year where you'd get a parallel foil and some other chase card...
Yes, I've noticed World Cup 96 going up in value. Meanwhile, still great value in some of the other sets sitting around $25 for a base set.
To me, there's nothing more magical than being able to buy 110 cards from 95 or 95 or whatever - a great era in cricket - for next to nothing.
I'm always surprised when I see stuff like the Futera Super Series cards for sale; all 40 of them for, say, $10 - $20.
Then I'll see someone selling them individually for $2.50 each. Unless you were only chasing a few, better to buy a set.
Noticed Finch has stepped down as Renegades Captain. But I presume his card in the 2021/22 set will have him as Captain, as they would have been finalised ages ago!
