Why do you collect?

Why do you collect cards and what got you into the hobby.

Personally I love collecting Basketball as there is always more cards to collect and it is impossible to have them all but I still like to try.

So why do you collect and how did you get into it?

I love basketball and I love autographs and jerseys. The two together = basketball cards.

I love collecting basketball cards, especially the autograph ones, because its the only closest thing u can ever be with a basketball player. Like most of us, we dont know lebron or jordan personally, but with the cards that we have. Its just the closest thing of having MJ or Lebron close to us.

Initially, I used to just take money I have earned and throwing it out the car window as I drove around, then I discovered collecting basketball cards.

I like the thrill of finding something new that I've never seen before and hardly anyone else has seen before of any particular player. I astounds me how much is really out there plus what you don't know! Basketball is by far the most colorful and creative sport to collect IMO

I collect .... because I've always been a collector of one thing or another. The old scanlen NSWRL cards, Scanlen Cricket, Transformers, comics etc .... it was just a natural transition for me.
