The 90's is commonly acknowledged as the golden period for card collecting in Australia. Whether you were collecting beforehand, or still collecting since, many of us owned cards from the early to mid 90's. We probably didn't realise it at the time, but many cards released during this period were groundbreakers...

Well not exactly 30 years, but close enough to it. Do you realise how weird it feels to get a couple of packs of cards from the year you were born ? Even weirder to realise that the gum inside the pack is as old as you are ?

Behold my mailday today - 2 x packs of unopened 1978/79 Topps Basketball.

Now the question - do I crack them open and risk some odd stomach disorder by eating the chewing gum ?

Welcome to the new OzCardTrader Blog function. This is a new feature I thought to introduce - lots of different uses of the blog. Can be used for Maildays, random thoughts, crapping on (Scotty you will love it for that), and perhaps you wish to use it for making how-to guides for collectors.
