Cards is not the way to make money. Very hard to make money in the mordern day with the average card.

Only if you get a marquee card or a well graded vintage card will you make much.

Few reasons, and some my be common sense but hey, you asked Click here to enlarge

    - If you're a set collector, chances are you'd have paid a little more than the average joe for a card to help complete a set, that is, unless you're very patient.
    - Marketing; I believe adding a /50 in your title would've enticed a few more people to look, as it were, they look like regular jersey cards at a glance.
    - Most of the cards were fairly regular, single coloured jerseys. There's too many jersey cards made out there for player collectors to bother about another one. Having three different players on a single card may have also played a role in this, most player collectors focus on their single player and multiple players are generally less desirable (exception being the high end autos, of course)
    - Off-season tends to draw less sales, people have generally exhausted their disposable income in the frenzy that is the NBA Playoffs.
    - $4 for shipping would appear a lot for a low dollar item. Why would someone in US pay $4 for the same card that he could get shipped for between $2-$3.50? Psychologically, this puts off buyers even though the ultimate selling price would have compensated for it.
    - Shipping can really kill you if you were collecting them as singles off the bay, which is why I try to get them in lots whenever I can.

    Wow, Sene sold for more????

It's a tough gig mate, and "luck" is a fortune let me tell ya.

Just from a personal view, for me, $$$$$ and when you have it comes into play big time.

Add in, people are saving up for Exquisite to land, and some what with Chronology (if it ever gets done).

The market is very soft in certain areas, and it's a buyers paradise.

Plus, things are tough and "spare" $$$$$ is hard to come by right now across the board.

You can see this from e-bay sales, and the slowing down of maildays on many boards I have ventured too. It just isn't like what it's like before.

Agree there, but seriously, luck is a fortune in this hobby. For both buyers and sellers. It works both ways.

I just bought a Garnett Ultimate auto (03 04) last week, cost me a hundred bucks haven't seen one in ages. Then one pops up straight after and sells for 50-something - so it seems it depends which week! Click here to enlarge

That could also be a factor that you, a major bidder, were not bidding on the 2nd Click here to enlarge

I tend to think this is mainly due to our location and shipping. US people don;t like trusting us to send cards to us, why are they going to want to trust us to send cards to them upon payment? The thought of things being shipped international scares the crap out of them, not to mention from the other side of the planet! I have been lucky with a few of my things I sell, but then they tend to be rarer higher end cards that people are willing to take a chance on.

Bottom line is, why feel all unsafe and scared of the outside world when they can be all cosy and buy amongst each other. There is 50 of each of those, not like it's that short printed really.

No idea mate. I was talking about his set that he sold other than the small quip at the top.
