Tap'n'Play Socceroos Asian Champions Boxed set

The quality of the paperboard used for this release is quite disappointing imo.

It's better than the a-league release but nowhere near as good as TnP's cricket release. Would have hoped for a better grade of paperboard being used given the premium pricing for this release, particularly with only 23 cards in the set.

Obviously a smaller production run is more expensive (plus factoring in associated profit margins), but it just a shame that compromises appear to have been made that distract from the overall quality of this release.

So not worth the $80 then? A real shame that they don't care about the collector and just release things such as these just for the $$$.

Well you can't put a price on having another Tommy Oar card for the collection - priceless!! :)

But certainly the price doesn't seem justified.

Still, there is always the option of spending $130 for the 'mega rare' Ivan Franjic card that we were told never existed.

To paraphrase Forrest Gump....TnP is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get!

Seems a shame that the FFA don't appear to set the the same high quality standards that Cricket Australia must obviously set for cricket cards.

Those Tommy Oars are priceless mate ;)

I think it has more to do with TapnPlay than the FFA when it comes to the quality and to be honest the standards for the cricket cards aren't that high, they look ok at the very best.

As for the Franjic card, wow that's really dodgy to tell you that it doesn't exist only to find one on ebay :red:.

You don't have to tell me, I had to find out the hard way!!!
