Went along to the test teams training at the SCG today, with my little sidekick Cooper. Was actually really busy. Heaps of Indian fans, although India had a closed session. Was good to see the boys batting up close. Had a slight altercation with an Indian fan who was pushing for Pontings autograph, long story short he hurt my son, I told him off, he took a swing, I sorted him out. (I'm not the violent type, but mess with my kids....)
Also saw a few of the eBay sig pigs that hangout at the footy.

Anyway here are our pickups, the bat is my sons and sits next to his Steve Waugh bat from a couple if weeks ago.

Good work mate...........and some nice autographs too! Must have been packed in tight like a zoo!

Nice haul!

With 300 people there how do you get Punter to sign 4 cards? Does having your son there help get multiples?

I have a book that I put the cards in, 2 per page. So when I have it open u see 4 cards, cards are held in with 2 plastic photo corners. I had it open and Ricky asked if I'd like them all signed.

In regards to having my son with me, it depends. Most times it can actually be a hinderance if you need to move fast to catch players. If it is quieter, eg- league team training, then it can be beneficial. Players aren't bombarded, there might be 5-10 people there, they make sure they have a chat to the kids.

If I was on my own yesterday I could of got autographs from Langer, McDermott, Bichel, McGrath, Healy. But in saying that I wouldn't trade anything for the look on my sons face as "the tv cricket men" sign his items.

Manners usually never hurt either, certain pushy fans ended up with very little in the way of autographs.

Nice pickups Jason. Pity that tool ruined your day.

Thanks, I think my day was a fair bit better than his though.

Yep I'm sure there are plenty of rude pushy d!ckheads who ruin it for everybody.

C'mon you have to fill us in on the full story with the Indian fan - blow by blow!!!

Dont worry your sidekick will grow up and in a few years he will be faster and bigger then you just like my little sidekick has become and you will be able to get more sigs then ever :) and maybe he can dish out his own punishment to over aggressive fans lol

Not much to say really.

We were against the fence, this guy was being pushy, I told him too watch out cause there was small kids. He turned and said something to his mate (wasn't English so I don't know what it was). Shane Watson was signing autographs about 10 meters up the line, this guy started pushing again, he knocked my son over, then kept pushing and trod on his hand. I picked my son up, who was in tears, I said "nice work d!ckhead", he mumbled something, I asked him to apologise, as we are teaching my son manners. He refused, so I said to my son, it's ok mate you meet some mean people sometimes. He took
Offense and took a swing at me, he missed and it was just a reaction, I hit him with a right to the jaw, he dropped to the ground, and started crying. Security came, took us both aside and were gonna kick me out, I told him what happened, my son was still crying, so they let us stay and kicked the other bloke out.

When we got home, my son told my wife the whole story, she wasn't as impressed as he was.
